Driver Ryan Preece Released from Hospital After Serious Crash

NASCAR driver Ryan Preece is out of the hospital less than a day after his car barrel-rolled through several times in a crash at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday.

Preece walked away from the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway, the site of his most impressive race, without any serious injuries.

Preece's car rolled about a dozen times during the crash, which occurred on the final lap of the race. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, but was released on Monday morning.

Preece has been cleared to race in the Southern 500 at Darlington this weekend.

The crash was the second serious accident involving a NASCAR driver in recent weeks. On July 3, Kyle Busch suffered serious injuries in a crash at Pocono Raceway. Busch is still recovering from his injuries and has not yet returned to racing.
