Bengals' Star WR Ja'Marr Chase Avoids Injured Reserve, Bengals Hopeful For Sooner Return
After Suffering AC Joint Sprain
Could Return to the Field Sooner Than Expected
The Cincinnati Bengals received some positive news regarding the status of star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who suffered an AC joint sprain in Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Chase has avoided being placed on injured reserve, which would have forced him to miss at least four games. Instead, the Bengals are hopeful that Chase can return sooner than the initial 4-6 week timetable.
Chase, who is considered one of the NFL's top young receivers, has been a key part of the Bengals' offense this season. He has caught 44 passes for 605 yards and six touchdowns in seven games.
The Bengals are currently 4-3 and in first place in the AFC North. They will face the Cleveland Browns on Halloween in a crucial divisional matchup.
