ATP 250 Tournament Draws Released

Geneva, Switzerland - April 10, 2023

Andy Murray is set to make his return to the ATP Tour at the Geneva Open, which will be held from Sunday, May 19, to Saturday, May 25. The 36-year-old Scot has been out of action since last October due to an ankle injury. However, he has been training hard in recent weeks and is confident that he will be ready to compete in Geneva. Murray will be joined in the field by a number of other top players, including Casper Ruud, Daniil Medvedev, and Andrey Rublev. The tournament will be played on clay courts and will offer a total prize pool of €534,555. The full list of players who have entered the tournament is as follows:
  • Andy Murray (GBR)
  • Casper Ruud (NOR)
  • Daniil Medvedev (RUS)
  • Andrey Rublev (RUS)
  • Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE)
  • Alexander Zverev (GER)
  • Jannik Sinner (ITA)
  • Hubert Hurkacz (POL)
  • Lorenzo Musetti (ITA)
  • Holger Rune (DEN)
The Geneva Open will be the first tournament that Murray has played since the Erste Bank Open in Vienna last October. He reached the quarterfinals of that tournament before losing to Lorenzo Sonego. Murray is a three-time Grand Slam champion and has won 46 ATP singles titles. He is currently ranked No. 68 in the world. The Geneva Open is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the ATP Tour. It was first held in 1980 and has been won by some of the biggest names in tennis, including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. Murray will be hoping to add his name to that list when he competes in Geneva next month.
