Paris Saint-Germain recovered from a home defeat and falling two goals behind on aggregate at ten minutes into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona to reach the semi-finals with a thrilling 4-1 victory.
Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick for PSG, with the other goal coming from Moise Kean. Lionel Messi scored a consolation goal for Barcelona, but it was not enough to prevent them from being eliminated from the competition.
The victory was a major triumph for PSG, who have now reached the semi-finals of the Champions League for only the fourth time in their history. It was also a sweet victory for manager Mauricio Pochettino, who had come under pressure following PSG's defeat in the first leg.
Luis Enrique, who managed Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, returned to the Camp Nou with his new club PSG and knocked his former side out of the Champions League. It was a bittersweet moment for the Spaniard, who said after the match that he was "proud" of his players but "sad" to see Barcelona eliminated.
PSG will now face Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Champions League. The first leg will be played at the Parc des Princes on April 28, with the second leg at the Etihad Stadium on May 5.
